Poem: My Life

I don't have what it takes to make it
No matter how much I try to fake it
There’s this feeling and I can’t shake it
And this fear I just can’t break it

It’s crazy
It’s hazy
It’s not that I’m lazy
I’m just like a daisy

Can’t make up my mind
My life’s undefined
I’m falling behind
Keep hitting rewind

Instead of fast forward
And me moving onward
It seems I’ve gone toward
A life of a coward

Instead of progressing
I’m constantly stressing
And hope for a blessing
Don’t want to be guessing

I’m falling, I’m sorry
I’m making you worry
One moment of glory
I’ll rewrite my story

It may take a while
To dig through the pile
But life is a trial
And filled with denial

You take it
You break it
And you fake it
Till you make it

  1. This poem reflects thoughts that extend deep into the soul during the most vulnerable psyche state...many can relate to these feelings.
