Poem: Who Is to Blame Here

I’ve got a list of questions I wanna ask you
But instead of asking you these questions
I try to answer them myself

I try to make my answers different
But every time I do that
They seem to be the same

I try to justify your actions
Try to figure out where I went wrong
Blame myself for your departure

But it’s not me I should be blaming
It is you who is responsible
For the end of this union

Instead of rewriting our story
You simply chose to abandon it
Because that was the easiest thing
For someone like you to do

Poem: You’re Everywhere

You’re no longer here
Yet you’re everywhere
Everywhere I look
Everywhere I turn
In every thought
That pops into my head

You’re no longer here
And yet every conversation
Every experience
Leads me back to you
Recalling the memories we’ve shared
The things you used to do

I don’t even need to try
And there you are in my head
Never leaving
Morning, day, and night
You’re still with me
No matter what I do

Even though you’re no longer here
It’s as if you never really left
How long will it take
For you to become a distant memory
Just something to look back on
And not something that’s always there
Everywhere I turn

Poem: Say Hello to the Night

I bid adieu to the day

And say hello to the night

The darkness and silence

A welcome embrace

As my dreams ready for flight
