Poem: We Become One

Our bodies fit perfectly into each other
Making melodies beneath the starry skies
As our flaming hearts beat as one
In tune with the rhythm of the endless sea

Our burning passion shoots us up into space
In the direction of undiscovered galaxies
Where the hands of the clock are at a standstill
And piece by piece you and I finally become one

Poem: Two Lovers

Two lovers meet in their secret garden
And among lush bouquets
Surrounded by the beauty of nature
Soul to soul, heart to heart
They make unforgettable memories
That forever remain within them
Even after their date comes to an end

Poem: Memories of Dinner at Grandmother’s House

Though my grandmother has long passed
The memories of my time at her home very much alive
Her apartment filled with the aroma of fried potatoes
And chicken patties frying on the stove
The table set with gold embroidered plates
And filled with my other favorite treats
I am tempted to pick up the phone
And invite myself over for dinner
Only to realize that she is no longer here
My stomach begins to growl
And I make my way to the kitchen
Ready to recreate the dinner in my own home
