Poem: Heartbeat

Heart beats fast
Like a drum
As thoughts of you
Peek in my mind

My heart dances
My heart sings
My heart flutters
Like the wind

My heart soars
My heart explodes
My heart melts
And turns to gold

My heart beats
For you so true
My heart's always
Linked to you

Forever and always
My heartbeat will race
Whenever I picture
Your mysterious face

And whenever I'll swim
In your words so heartfelt
I will drown in bliss
And my heart's gonna melt

And the smile on my face
Will no longer be fake
For the joy that you bring
Makes all grief fade away

I am but a shadow
Invisible to the passing eye
Of those who know me
Those who lay eyes on me
But to a wandering stranger
I am an actual being
Roaming this universe
I am a living, breathing creature
In need of attention
In need of comfort
In need of support
In need of everything
That my people never give

Your passionate words imprint on my heart
And touch me so deeply right from the start
They sprinkle their magic while melting my soul
With romance and love that forever does grow
They quicken my heartbeat and I drown in bliss
I feel like a princess swept away by her prince
So thanks for the honor of being your muse
Now I feel extra special that me you did choose
We'll forever be linked by sweet words of your art
Written there in the stars in my dreams in my heart
